Welcome Horse Lovers

Welcome to the SIM Horse Directory (SHD)!

We are new, but I hope to develop this into one of the largest directories of SIM horse games and resources on the web. You can help me do this by sending me your game links and recommending games.

There are two pages of games: manual and automated. There will also soon be a list of resources.

Champion Equines

http://championequines.weebly.com/

Type of Game: Manual
Number of Players: under 10
Dated Started: July 2010
Summary:
Champion Equines is a new SIM/semi-RPG website. Here you can raise, rescue, breed, show, and train your own equines! We ask that before joining you please read the rules, that way your experience here will be as easy to understand as possible. So come on and join us! You’ll enjoy it!

Review: This site is still quite new, but seems organized well. The navigation is clean and the layout of the site is lovely. I will likely re-review this game after it has been open for a month or two.

Equine Revolution

http://equinerevolution.cwahi.net/

Type of Game: Auto/Manual (auto registry and bank [coming soon])
Number of Players: 11 – 20
Dated Started: April 2009
Summary: Equine Revolution was founded in April 2009 by some simmers who were wanting a very democratic, relaxed, drama-free game – something revolutionary in the way SIM games traditionally work. We wanted to introduce unique ideas that would set our game apart and change the way people play SIMs. As a result, we have a game where everyone gets equal input into how the game is run, education is a focus, there is zero drama between members, and players are encouraged to bring new breeds and disciplines in.

Review: This game has a solid focus on education and community. They have some automated elements (the registry and the bank soon), but mostly it is a manual game that seems to be run very efficiently. Most of the game play seems centered around showing and racing with a very clear, standardized system. The layout of the game is easy to navigate and the overall design is quite nice.

Copyrights & Photo Usage

If you’ve been involved with SIM horse games for long you’ve probably read about copyrights and photos. I’ve put together a list of resources for you to read. I have read through these to make sure they seem to be at least somewhat useful, but it is up to you to do your own research. All links should open in a new window.

Once you understand, you can check out some potential resources.
